Homemade hair care recipes

Soapwort shampoo

1 oz soapwort root
12 oz water
1 tsp base oil
15 - 60 drops essential oil

Boil crushed soapwort in a pan. Simmer for 10 minutes. Combine all ingredients.

Pure castile shampoo

1/2 tbs dried herbs
8 oz water
2 oz liquid castile
1 tsp base oil
15 - 60 drops essential oil
1 tsp vodka or wheat germ oil (vitamin E) as preservative

Steep dried herbs in boiling water for 20 minutes. Let cool. Combine all ingredients.

Deep protein conditioner treatment

1 tbs gelatin or pectin
1 cup water
1 tsp apple cider vinegar
2 drops each jasmine, clary sage and rosemary essential oils

Let gelatin slightly gel with water. Combine all ingredients.

Soothing Leave-in Conditioner

2 cups water
1 tbs comfrey
1/2 tbs chamomile
1/2 tbs calendula
15 - 20 drops essential oil
5 drops each neroli, lavender, sandalwood and rosemary
optional 5 ml Pro Vitamin B5

All Purpose Conditioner

1/4 cup aloe vera gel
1/2 lemon
3 - 5 drops essential oil
1 tbs ginger
1 tbs sesame oil
1 tbs jojoba oil

Moisturizing banana hair conditioner

1 small banana
1 tbs honey
1 tsp sweet almond oil

Combine all ingredients.

Avocado dry hair conditioner

1/2 ripe avocado
1 tsp wheat germ oil
1 tsp jojoba oil

Combine all ingredients.

Natural Bodywash

Distilled Water, Saponin (Soapnuts), Goat's Milk, Xantham Gum, Guar, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Glycerin, Soybean Oil, Jojoba Oil, Olive Oil, Emu Oil, Sodium PCA, Aloe, Sodium Cocoate, Tocopherol, Herbal Tea Infusion, Elderflower, Honesuckle, Rice Milk Solid, Soy Milk Solid, Milk Protein Solid, Stearic Acid, (Hydantoin), Citric Acid, Sodium Chloride, Tea Tree Oil, Boric Acid, (Alcohol), Sodium Benzoate, Benzoic Acid, Titanium Dioxide, Scent, Sodium alginate, Vitamin C, Cilantro, Attapulgite (Clay).

Homemade Lotion

10 oz distilled water
Carrier oil (half amount, variable)
Emu oil, Olive oil, Palm oil, Jojoba oil (Colorless, odorless, absorbent)
Essential oil/scent (variable)
Herbal tea infusion
Aloe juice
Milk powder, Soy Milk Solid, Cornstarch
Honey, Tocopherol, Beta Carotene
Buttermilk, Emulsifying wax, Stearic acid, Glycerin
Citric acid, Borax, Grapefruit extract, Benzoin
